Completed Projects in Warrington
06-Jun-2012Working in Collaboration with Enterprise plc and Warrington Borough Council
RSS has recently completed two challenging schemes with its key customer Enterprise plc.
London Road Bridge
A principal bridge inspection, carried out by Warrington Borough Council, identified that some structural repair and coating work was required in order to extend the working life of this structure carrying traffic over the Bridgewater Canal owned by Peel Holdings.
RSS was appointed to carry out this specialist work and used the services of supply partner PontoonWorks to design and install a floating access solution.
Local residents and businesses were extremely co-operative and special thanks go to the team at Thorn Marine for all of their assistance. The project was successfully completed in 8 weeks.
Warrington Bus Depot
Warrington Borough Council asked Enterprise plc to combine resources and provide a rapid response to urgent modifications required on the disabled access to three bus bays.
Within 2 working days of receiving an order, the site team had mobilised to carry out diamond sawing and rapid setting screed works to improve the access routes for disabled passengers. The works were fully completed ahead of schedule thus allowing the client to reopen the bays earlier than anticipated.
"I would like to express Warrington Borough Council's gratitude for the way in which you and your colleagues carried out the works to our specification, within the agreed timeframe and budget. The various challenges faced by this project and the need to alter plans were accommodated well by the wider team and your professionalism and knowledge were key to the success of the works."
